3D Printed Medical Devices

Oxford Performance Materials has just received a 510 K (FDA marketing approval) for OsteoFab Process that allows the 3D printing of  Medical Devices and Implants such as the one shown below.  On it's website OPM states that "this technology allows us to go beyond merely replicating shapes: we also have the ability to meet specific performance requirements as anatomically applicable. Through our proprietary "'Coherent Implantology Process'", fit, form and bio-function are digitally calculated, constructed, and then produced."
